In the role of Childcare Teacher you will provide care and instruction for ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
This individual will also be responsible for maintaining an environment and supporting activities designed to promote safety, nurturing support, and appropriate development in all curriculum areas.
Classroom assignment is determined based on the needs of the center with openings currently in our infant through preschool aged classrooms.
Wages starting between $13-$16/hr.

PTO is frontloaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately.

What You'll Do
Build a positive, trust-based relationship with each child and their family by providing positive communication and body language at all times
Supervise children carefully and consistently indoors and outdoors.
Ensure classroom ratio is maintained at all times
Maintain and support a structured environment and routine that provides children with consistency as well as the ability to freely explore and engage in constructive, purposeful play
Assist with implementation of lesson plans that detail the classroom study and related activities including GOLD objectives being addressed by each activity.
Contribute to curriculum planning
Promote social and emotional competency, self-confidence, and resiliency by using an approved curriculum and effective role modeling
Demonstrate effective conflict resolution, team building, and positive communication skills with interacting with others
What You'll Need
Preferred: One year of college education in Early Childhood, Child Development, Child Development Associate (CDA)
One year of experience serving children required.
A supervised practicum may substitute for one year of experience
Preferred: Current certification in CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, Universal Precautions and Medication Administrator
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to voice concerns in a positive manner
Ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services rendered.
Ability to lift up to 35lbs, be mobile within the classroom and playground areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
Ability to accurately receive and implement parent instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
