Full Time Teacher Associate

The Creative Center for Young Children, a fine art focused Early Childhood Program, in Downtown Des Moines is seeking an energetic and career minded teacher associate to join our program.
We are seeking a professional who would like to work in a small group setting with our 2-5-year-old children.
Minimum requirements: • High School Diploma/GED.
• One year of experience caring for children in a group setting.
• CDA Credential or willingness to enroll immediately.
Duties include but are not limited to: • Assisting Lead Teacher with classroom duties and tasks.
• Engaging and interacting with children through direct care and supervision.
• Assisting with Creative Movement Class.
• Initiating and carrying out transition activities with children.
• Snack prep for family style meals.
• Attend monthly paid staff meetings and ongoing paid trainings.
• Assisting and encouraging life skills with the children that leads to increased independence.
