Position Criteria: High School Diploma Some child care experience preferred but not required Performance Criteria: Work in both Beyond the Bell and Wee Warriors child care operations Serve as floating substitute at all child care locations Assist the on-site supervisor in devising strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities Guide independent work, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the on-site supervisor Assist with the supervision of the students during emergency drills, play periods, and field trip Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers Participate in in-service training as assigned Encourage children to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, to communicate these objectives to children Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation Assist the on-site supervisor in implementing all policies and rules governing children life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner Perform other duties as assigned Primary Location Child Care Services Salary Range $14.
