*Wage*: EMT Certifcation - $51,216-$68,298; Paramedic Certification - $59,947-$78,752
*Job Function: *The primary responsibility of Fire Department personnel is to respond to a variety of call types ranging from Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Search and Rescue, Ice and Water Rescue, Hazardous Material Incidents, and Extrication.
Other functions can include administrative report writing, records management, fire prevention, and equipment maintenance.
*Qualifications:* High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Current BLS CPR certification sponsored by the American Heart Association.
Current EMT certification issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health, Paramedic certification preferred.
Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and HazMat Operations certification in accordance with the Fire Service Training Bureau (Iowa) Standards.
Must complete a physical agility test upon hire and annually as set forth by the department.
Must complete a pre-employment physical to include a pulmonary function test and drug screening.
