About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Regulatory Relations Specialist for the Internal Audit Regulatory Relations team which works across the entire Internal Audit division.
This audit team supports the audit coverage efforts of each team across Internal Audit, covering the entire Wells Fargo operations.
This individual will provide regulatory relations coverage for one or more lines of business within Internal Audit.
Specifically, this Lead Regulatory Relations Specialist will work within a team of approximately nine audit professionals.
Experience navigating matrixed organizations, interfacing with regulatory agencies and building an effective audit approach to evaluate customer remediation and complaints management efforts in this ever-changing risk environment is important.
The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to build strong trusted relationships and drive change designed to mitigate risk.
In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross functional with broad impact and act as key participant in establishing and maintaining the Internal Audit regulatory relations strategy, governance, communications, and procedures to manage regulatory engagements and interactions for Regulatory Relations functional area Regulatory Exams: Manage and lead Audit's engagement in the regulatory exam process including managing the exam schedule, meetings, and information requests Liaison Supervisory Meetings for Audit Management Senior Executives: Lead regulatory engagement for Audit Management Senior Executives of Wells Fargo, including establishing meeting cadence, understanding meeting objectives, working with the regulatory agency representatives to prepare meeting agendas and materials, acting as the liaison for the meetings and addressing follow-ups resulting from the meetings Manage Supervisory Meetings for one or more Audit lines of business: Manage Audit's day-to-day supervisory meetings with the regulators, schedule meetings, prepare the agenda and materials, identify relevant attendees, prepare minutes, and address follow-ups.
Confidential Supervisory Information (CSI) Program Execution: Assist with executing Audit's program for ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements for CSI, including controls to prevent and remediate unauthorized disclosure of information Program Management and Administration: Provide input into Audit regulatory relations program including policies, training, reporting, regulatory correspondence distribution & tracking, thought leadership regarding regulatory focus areas, monthly reporting, self-monitoring requirements.
This would include driving governance processes, procedures, templates, practices, and escalation processes relative to regulatory engagement Partner with Wells Fargo Regulatory Relations and the Wells Fargo Legal Department Other Requirements: Manage projects and workflow across multiple geographies.
Drive automation and data analytics opportunities within their portfolio Required Qualifications, US: 5+ years of Regulatory Relations or Risk Management, includes Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Experience and prior success on audit teams or other risk functions in the financial services industry with a focus on regulatory compliance and customer remediation.
Strong understanding of regulatory expectations from the Federal Reserve Board, Office of Comptroller of Currency, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
This collaborative Lead must be capable of initiating action and possess strong vision, execution and relationship management skills across the organization, as well as with the regulators.
Ability to understand and operate successfully in a matrixed corporate environment.
The role requires a sense of personal accountability for achievement and outcomes.
Experience at large financial institution responsible for Regulatory Relations Demonstrated experience managing relationships with large regulatory and enforcement agencies Understanding of the regulatory agencies responsible for supervision over large banks including their operating structure, processes, approach to developing supervisory plans, exam schedule and coordination with local exam teams Strong Project Management skills Proven leadership experience with multi-functional teams across multiple locations Deep understanding of ever-evolving governance processes and regulatory environments.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Job Expectations: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship Pay Range $111,100.
