Our client seeks a Payroll Administrator to join their team.
This is a full-time direct hire position where you will earn up to $90,000, based on your experience.
You will work daytime hours Monday – Friday 100% on site.
Some of your responsibilities as Payroll Administrator include processing and coordinating full-cycle payrolls for multiple states as well as:
Maintaining accurate records of payroll transactions
Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations
Creating and retrieving reports from payroll system
Maintaining and reviewing payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates (new hires, terminations, pay rate changes)
Responding to payroll related inquiries
Researching and correcting any payroll discrepancies
Maintaining in depth knowledge of legal requirements
Recommending system improvements
Ensuring regulatory compliance
Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices
Training leaders on timekeeping system and payroll processes
Overseeing optimal function of the HRIS
Providing technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to HRIS users
Managing permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations
Other duties as assigned
To qualify for the Payroll Administrator position, you must have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as:
3+ years of multi state payroll and HRIS administration experience
Strong working knowledge using a payroll system
Familiarity with HR policies and procedures
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests
Excellent time management skills
Strong ability to think critically and problem solve
Ability to deal with multiple projects and priorities
Strong research skills
Sate, local, and federal practices and compliance requirements knowledge
