Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Accountant - Governance.
This position will provide the necessary analytics to support transactions that cross over Corteva's ERP systems (“Cross Tower”) and their associated external reporting.
This position will also be involved in the preparing for the Future ERP go-live as it relates to the Governance workstream.
Included in this role: Provide administrative, leadership and direction to governance related issues that may impact key consolidations processes such as Cross Tower eliminations.
Prepare Cross Tower analytics to drive accounting entries for consolidation.
Responsible for maintaining financial reporting integrity during Central Finance implementation for Cross Tower transactions.
Recommend and implements changes in Cross Tower methods to improve the efficiency of the accounting process and provide better analytics to the Business Finance community.
Maintains and improve accounting and internal control processes in accordance with Company standards and government regulations.
Analyzes and resolves complex accounting and reporting issues, including interpreting complex external reporting requirements and consolidation reporting requirements.
Provide review and testing of changes to the process by the changes that occur once a Legal Entity goes live into the Future ERP system.
Responsibilities - How will you help us grow? Must have a strong accounting acumen and the ability to understand the relationship to reporting.
Must be able to build strong, sustainable alliances and relationships with our internal customers both inside and outside of Finance.
Must be able to perform many analytics on different types of data to aide in the investigation of odd items.
Needs to use strong business acumen to make decisions impacting the team and business reporting.
Must be able to analyze data that is rapidly changing and understand the business impact.
Strong, impactful communication skills required.
Flexibility is a key critical success factor.
Ability to work in high-pressure project environment with speed & agility.
Demonstrated effectiveness and ability to work independently, and drive results with peers, stakeholders, and customers.
Ability to work extended hours, as needed, for the month-end closing processes.
Qualifications Background and Experience – What you'll bring to the table.
Bachelor's degree in accounting and requisite work experience (1-3 years) required.
Attention to detail is critical to success.
Accounting/Analytics background required.
Experience in a Corporate environment and prior work in a SAP system is highly desirable.
Position requires strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and proficiency in the use of systems, including Microsoft suite of applications plus SAP systems and reporting tools such as Data in Hub, BPC, BW and Analysis for Office.
Knowledge of basic auditing and internal control standards (SOX compliance), and good communication / interpersonal skills, technical skills & functional expertise.
