Wells Fargo's Balance Sheet Interest Rate Risk Management (BSIRRM) Group is looking for a highly motivated individual with data management, governance and controls experience to act as the data governance lead for QRM and associated data systems.
The BSIRRM Group performs quantitative analysis of the company balance sheet behavior and has a primary responsibility to measure its risk and design risk management strategies.
Team members oversee the IRR simulation models of the company's major business lines, provide management with insight concerning changes that they see in the risk profile, and contribute to the generation of risk management strategies.
QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) is one of the key Vendor platforms within BSIRRM with associated data integration and data marts.
CALM(Corporate Asset Liability Management) is a data integration platform which works in Tandem with QRM.
This is a key role in our strategy to establish a strong data governance foundation and meet all data management policy/procedure requirements.
To achieve this mission of governance, this role will be responsible for DMI (Data Management and Insights) deliverables - Data management procedure compliance - Understanding and creating documentation of END-TO-END data flow, process narratives, controls, data dictionary, lineage, metadata, end user computing (EUC) documentation and SLA(Service Level Agreements) with data providers.
Onsite data quality contact - Point person for data quality and governance (Onsite support for the offshore operations team) Provide data management documentation as needed to support projects/initiatives.
Support oversight requests - data lineage, data research (Ex: Audit, CMOR, IT&V etc.
) Provide Quarterly communications to downstream partners for all the changes.
Monitor production metrics to escalate operational risks to Risk forum (through KPI Deck) Manage upstream relationships as it relates to data quality issues.
(data quality metrics, deeper understanding of issues, representing BSIRRM on the significant issues etc.
) Build change management routines to keep internal and DMI documentation up-to-date for Audit and Regulatory review.
Act as point person and liaison in matters of data governance, data quality and standards with oversight functions and regulators.
Assist in defining data strategy for BSIRRM Lead governance implementations of any initiative associated with data governance - Ex: Data Integrity Deep Dive, Metadata implementations, Data Lineage Tool migrations etc.
Required Qualifications, US: 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Prior financial services industry experience Experience in moving an organization along the data management maturity model curve Knowledge of QRM, IRR models, data management policies, and risk data aggregation methodologies for reporting and decision support.
MBA or other business related graduate degree Knowledge of data integrity management efforts in Corporate Finance/Treasury or other lines of businesses.
Experience with enterprise initiatives supporting regulatory mandates 4+ years of experience in building, strengthening and managing relationship between business and technology teams preferably in data marts or data warehouse environment.
4+ years' experience in the infrastructural and technical areas involving data sourcing, ETL (Extract, Transform and Load), data quality, MDM (master data management) and data distribution.
Knowledge of software development process and methodologies Undergraduate degree in technology, MIS, business or related field or equivalent experience Strong and effective interpersonal communication (written and oral), organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts/relationships, including executive/senior-level managers.
