Security Benefit (SB) is seeking Interns for Investment Operations to work in its Investments Department in Topeka, Kansas or our Des Moines, Iowa satellite office.
SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work.

What Does the Job Look Like: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various pieces of the investment lifecycle.
The primary tasks include assisting the team with the following: • Perform daily processes across various investment operations teams including but not limited to Trade Operations, Data Management, Reconciliation and Reporting.
• Assist and participate in department strategic projects through requirement gathering, testing and validation and change coordination.
• Collaborate with internal and external client base on daily basis.
Eligibility Students eligible for the internship will be current, fulltime students available to work approximately 19 hours a week, beginning immediately.
Student will be expected to work during and in between semesters and up to full-time during the summer.
This is not a summer only internship.
Who are you? • Full-time college student pursuing degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or related field • Familiarity with investment instruments, including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies data.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements, work independently or as part of a team, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
