POSITION SUMMARY
The accountant will perform general accounting functions and be responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger accounts as well as maintenance/reconciliation of subsidiary accounting systems.
The position will provide support to enhance business processes and will perform analysis and analytical review.
This roll will also be responsible for unclaimed property reporting, general ledger maintenance,
PCI compliance, assistant banking duties, and various office duties.
The accountant will be involved with special projects as needed.

Perform and assist with various accounting duties including account reconciliation, financial, tax, and compliance reporting.
Special project work and assistance on projects with Controller and other staff
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in accounting or finance plus 5 years or more of relevant work experience
Degree can be supplemented with 7 years relevant work experience
Excellent math, verbal, and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft products, accounting software and database activity
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
Able to work independently and practice good judgment and also work as a member of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Accounting experience in higher education appreciated
